Another central aspect of who I am is my commitment
to teaching. After being privileged enough to study with some extremely
dedicated and talented musicians who were also excellent educators,
I decided that I wanted to be able to combine performing with teaching.
Private Lessons
I am available for private lessons on saxophone, flute and clarinet
(all levels – beginning to advanced), as well as jazz improvisation
and ear training.
Master classes
I am available for master classes that can
cover just about anything from saxophone specific topics (tone development,
intonation, repertoire, etc.), how to get the most out of your practice
session, to rehearsing jazz bands and being a guest soloist.
Lectures
I am available to give a lecture on
saxophonist Warne Marsh. I did a lecture at William Paterson University
on December 6, 2001 titled, “Warne Marsh: Explorations –
His World of Voice-Leading and Rhythmic/Harmonic Displacement”.
Drew University

I am currently an Affiliate Artist at Drew University in Madison,
NJ where I teach saxophone and the big band. If you haven’t
seen this campus, you should – it’s a gorgeous place,
and from what I hear, quite haunted (at least that’s what
the student’s tell me, and from what I’ve read in Weird
NJ! – www.weirdnj.com
